Encoding
Completion requirements
Encoding ensures consistency between the language in which a script is written and the way it is displayed. Improper encoding makes the text appear jibberish such as عربي.
Popular Arabic encoding includes UTF-8, Arabic (Windows-1256) and Arabic (ISO-8859-6). The recommended encoding is UTF-8.
Fix the problem
If your web browser shows the charachter as عربي, change the encoding.
Use the following solutions:
- Firefox: View > Charachter Encoding > Arabic (Windows-1256)
- Chrome: Tools > Encoding > Arabic (Windows-1256)
- Safari: Views > Text Encoding > Arabic (Windows-1256)
- Internet Explorer (IE): View > Encoding > Arabic (Windows-1256)
- Opera: Page > Encoding > Arabic > Windows-1256
